Resource Regeneration & Products

Converting waste mineral oil, spent activated carbon, steel drums and plastic containers, and agricultural and forestry biomass waste into re-refined base oil, regenerated activated carbon, reconditioned packaging containers, and bio-based products.

Product Matrix

Four Categories of Green Products.

The resource regeneration business maps four feedstock streams to four product families: waste mineral oil to re-refined base oil, refined oil products, and lubricants; spent activated carbon to regenerated activated carbon; steel drums and plastic containers to reconditioned packaging containers; and agricultural and forestry biomass to bio-based products.

This direction runs parallel to China's circular economy agenda and dual-carbon goals: the Action Plan for Carbon Dioxide Peaking Before 2030 lists circular-economy-driven carbon reduction among its ten key actions, and the 14th Five-Year Plan for Circular Economy Development targets a resource recycling industry output of RMB 5 trillion by 2025. Taking re-refined base oil as a substitute for virgin refining routes, all projects at full capacity would cut carbon emissions by approximately 120,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

Each regeneration route is matched to a defined process route and planned plant capacity. The processes and pollution controls for waste mineral oil regeneration follow national standards such as the Guideline for Recovery and Regeneration of Waste Mineral Oil (GB/T 17145-2024); plant layouts are detailed under the Phase III waste mineral oil regeneration and comprehensive utilization project and the Phase II closed-loop circular economy green industrial park.

Regeneration Routes

Four Regeneration Routes.

01

Re-Refined Base Oil (Waste Mineral Oil)

Waste mineral oil passes through pretreatment, HyFine liquid-phase hydrogen-control refining, and supporting distillation, blending, and packaging to yield gasoline, diesel, Group I / II / III base oils, synthetic base oils, and lubricants. Industrialization is carried by the Phase III 150,000 t/a waste mineral oil regeneration and comprehensive utilization project.

02

Regenerated Activated Carbon

Spent activated carbon is regenerated through Molyfor's independently developed supercritical CO₂ activated carbon regeneration process, offering high iodine value and high regeneration rates, and returns to water treatment, air purification, and industrial adsorption applications. Industrialization is carried by the Phase II 15,000 t/a regeneration unit.

03

Reconditioned Packaging Containers

Hazardous waste steel drums, plastic drums, and plastic bags are reconditioned by type (20,000 t/a in total), with manufacturing capacity planned in parallel for 500,000 steel drums per year and 20,000 t/a of plastic IBC totes and bulk bags. Industrialization is carried by the Phase II closed-loop circular economy green industrial park in Zongyang (commissioning planned for January 2027).

04

Bio-Based Products

Comprehensive utilization of agricultural and forestry waste yields bio-based green products; the agricultural and forestry waste comprehensive utilization project in Ningming, Guangxi serves as the demonstration for South China and ASEAN markets.
